The first resource is a directory of Twitter users in Lancaster, PA.

Users are added to the list only by their own request, so you are welcome and encouraged to follow any or all of them. I write the brief bios myself, to cut out superlatives and get straight to the point of what I think is one important thing each person brings to the local Twitter conversation.

I keep this page, nicknamed the list of “Lancaster Twitterati,” as up-to-date and useful as possible. As the instructions at the end of the list say, I’m happy to add anyone living in Lancaster County if you just complete the the form at the bottom of the list. I do ask that your Twitter account is active and is complete with bio, location and photo/avatar. I also greatly appreciate the courtesy of knowing you follow me on Twitter.

Lancaster Tweetups Group on Facebook

Second, I hope you’ll take a moment to check out the Lancaster Tweetups Group on Facebook and become a member. It’s great to meet the friends you make online face-to-face when possible. Several different people organize tweetups of different kinds and at different times. There’s no structure or system here—anyone is welcome to set up a tweetup.

Once you join the Facebook group, you’ll receive updates on Facebook each time a new Tweetup is scheduled. That makes it easy to keep tabs on what’s going on.
